LydiaGlo is the heart of Tai Ora. It's a place where people can explore guided pathways designed to help them navigate different areas of life, whether they're rebuilding confidence, searching for purpose, finding clarity or simply trying to find their way forward.

LydiaGlo didn't begin as another product idea. It began with one simple question.

How do we help people find their way back to themselves?

Looking back, LydiaGlo came to life in Bali, but its story began much earlier.

In 2023, my world changed completely. My relationship ended. Not long afterwards, my father passed away. I eventually had to sell my home and make the heartbreaking decision to rehome my two dogs. It felt as though everything that had given me stability, certainty and a sense of home had disappeared.

Looking back now, that year almost feels like a blur. It's hard to explain, but I remember feeling as though I was watching my life from the outside rather than really living it. I was simply trying to get through each day.

I found myself asking questions I couldn't ignore anymore. Who am I? What is my purpose? Why did this happen to me? Where do I belong? How do I get through this? How do other people navigate life's hardest moments? Those questions stayed with me.

After returning to New Zealand, I realised I needed some time to clear my head. I decided to spend a couple of months in Bali.

Once I'd settled in, I opened my laptop and started asking questions. One question led to another as I wrote notes, sketched ideas and tried to understand where Tai Ora was really heading.

At the time, I thought I was building one new section, but it quickly grew from one idea into another and another until there was 8 of them! Then eventually it grew into what is now LydiaGlo.

Then one evening, I wrote everything down and spread my ideas out across the bed. Each one represented a different way of helping people. At first, I thought I had to choose one. I couldn't work out which direction Tai Ora should take.

I got up to grab something, and when I came back, everything was spread out on the bed in front of me.

That's when it hit me.

I didn't have to choose.

I still remember standing there thinking, "I've got it. I finally get it."

Suddenly, I could see how everything connected. What I'd been looking at as individual ideas wasn't a collection of competing concepts anymore. They all belonged together. That was the moment I realised LydiaGlo wasn't just another feature or another idea. It had become the heart of something much bigger.

When it came time to name it, there was never really another choice.

I named it after my grandmother, Lydia.

She was someone who made me feel safe. She listened without judgement, offered guidance when it was needed, and somehow always made difficult moments feel a little less overwhelming.

Looking back, I realised those were the qualities I wanted LydiaGlo to embody. Not to have all the answers, but to create a space where people could explore life's challenges at their own pace and find their own way forward.

Today, LydiaGlo continues to evolve. New ideas still emerge, and the guided pathways continue to grow because people's lives are never one-dimensional. There will be as many pathways as there needs to be, each created with the same purpose that inspired LydiaGlo from the very beginning.

How do we help people find their way back to themselves?
